Out of Chocolate? Try Some Peanut Brittle!

Peanut brittle makes a great gift for a friend who loves candy, and it's great to keep around the house if you want something with a sharp, peanut flavor. You can find peanut brittle at most grocery stores and gift shops, usually boxed but gift sets are also available during the holidays. It's sure to satisfy your appetite!

Coffee is a Good Complement for Chocolate

When you think of having a nice bite of chocolate, you may not directly associate a specific drink to have it, if at all. Coffee is a good complement, whether you enjoy a truffle or praline or even a chocolate bar. These are two flavors that combine well together - the richness of cacao mixed with the boldness of a roasted bean or any of a blended selection of K-Cups is a warm treat.

After a nice lunch at work, consider breaking in the late afternoon with some of your favorite office coffee and maybe a small, salted caramel or chocolate-dipped biscotti. No matter the flavor of your beverage, the taste of the chocolate you enjoy gives your drink a nice mocha aftertaste. If you're worried about leaving too much coffee in a pot to go to waste,  consider investing in a single-serving maker that uses coffee pods so you can regulate how much you drink in a day. If you're feeling especially generous, gift baskets of coffee and chocolate to share with co-workers or family during the holidays provide a good supply for whenever you're in the mood to snack.

Brew up a mug of your favorite roast after a long day of work and unwrap something sweet.
